702.ink is a Las Vegas tattoo publication and shop directory. The editorial side covers two beats: the people getting tattooed in this city, and the people running the shops that put the tattoos on them. The directory side lists real, operating Clark County shops with honest descriptions, real neighborhood context, and disclosed featured placements.
We exist because Las Vegas has a genuinely interesting tattoo culture — a split personality between the Strip-facing walk-in economy and the off-Strip destination shops doing some of the best custom work in the country — and nobody was covering it with any depth. The business-side beat covers the part of the industry that's even harder to find written down: licensing, SNHD compliance, the Nevada classification rules, startup economics, insurance, and the operational craft of running a tattoo shop that stays open.
The model is straightforward. Editorial is free and independent — we don't run sponsored coverage disguised as editorial, and the guides section is written without payment from any shop that appears in it. Shops can pay for directory listings, featured placement on the homepage, sponsored long-form articles (clearly disclosed), or an anchor-tenant domain rental.
